Emahó
For more than three decades, he taught and inspired students across Europe and the United States. He came twice or even three times a year to Europe giving seminars and ceremonies in several countries like Czech, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Switzerland.
Emahó refused titles, insisting he was not a guru but “a friend and a neighbor.” He challenged, encouraged and laughed with us, and walked beside people as an equal. His teachings did not require formal practice, retreats, or disciplines. Instead, he showed that awakening belongs in the kitchen, the workplace, the family, the dance of ordinary days.
In his speeches he revealed profound insights about the gifts of being alive, and the predicament of being a human being on this planet. Emaho´ passed away in October 2023 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, bowing down at the end of leading a sweat lodge ceremony.
